MM5 is actually the best of the NES MM games. 6 was just more forgettable: the weapons and bosses arent that good. Flame Man's weapon is just a recolored projectile of the one-eyed flying enemies from Gemini Man's stage.

good review. but it was too in depth as it spoiled alot of the game without any warning. possibly couldnt be helped as a fellow sly fan i do appreciate the attention to detail throughout the review pointing out minor details the general populace probably missed.

MegaMan 4 was the first game I bought with my own money when I was a kid. Although I'd say I like MegaMan 2 ever so slightly more, this is a great game.

I believe Megaman 5 is overlooked is because it came out in late 1992, by this point most everybody had moved to the 16 bit machines of the time and it just set gathering dust at your local department store.

2012 tmnt was just tooo good

Mega Man 2 is my favorite in the series, and I'm fully willing to admit this is at least partially nostalgia talking. I've played through this game multiple times on actual NES hardware and still own both the system and cart I originally beat it on as a kid. I know later Mega Man games were technically more refined in many ways, and IV is my second favorite, but there's something about the atmosphere of Mega Man 2. Later games in the series kept making him more and more colorful - which was fine, and by the time we got to VI the game could almost be mistaken for an SNES game - but something about the muted limited pallet of 2, combined with it's amazing OST that just goes so hard, gave it this heavy metal kinda feel that later games didn't quite have. Maybe it had to do with being an underdog project that was expected to fail, but later games have a much more heroic, confident quality to them, while this one had a distinct hardcore vibe. At least to me. Or maybe I'm just reading into things too much, who knows.

I feel like this game's story is okay. The problem I have is the pacing and structure. I think Ellie and Abby's campaigns should've been in a rotation, maybe 3 hours with Ellie then 3 hours with Abby, and so on. Also if they wanted to make the player truly feel bad for killing those on the opposing sides, give us an option to spare or atleast sneak around our enemies, ESPECIALLY if you're going to have a mechanic where foes will beg for their lives.

Mega Man 4 is my second favorite in the series. I'm one of the masses for whom Mega Man 2 is basically perfection, and we're the reason 2 is always included on things like the NES classic. I do love Mega Man 4's level design, however, easily some of the most memorable in the whole franchise for me. I also remember its soundtrack being quite good, though when I think Mega Man soundtracks 2 is always the one that comes to my mind - that being a big reason its my favorite. 4 is where the graphics really start getting better and better each game though. 4, 5, and especially 6 all look so detailed and colorful they almost look like SNES games.

One of the things I don't like is how Sonic was to quick to assume Eggman was doing something evil which he was but he didn't even give a second thought just "Oh Eggman built a amusement park he's plotting something evil"

Speaking of the Vita another thing about it was that it had its share of PS3 ports. Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, ports of the Jak Ratchet and Sly collections just to name a few.

Sonic 06 is not like Shadow the Hedgehog which was a horrible game. It tried to be something big. Something memorable. But it just went horribly wrong. It was rushed out the door by SEGA, making it have bad gameplay and glitches galore. But when i look back at 06, 15 years later, I just see… pure. A true story. THE turning point for the series up to this point. Games after this like colors and lost world and forces are just not what I’m looking for. I don’t care about boost gameplay or short levels or smooth animation or dumpster fire stuff like that. I just want a good game that has a memorable story, which is what Sonic 1 through Heroes had. But now, 2006, the 15 anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, is the only time where that was the biggest thing that Sonic had to offer. The true sonic game. The most anticipated game of all time. Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 for PS360. 🦔🔵

Y'know, I think this series is one of my favorites because it lets Casey Jones fight alongside the turtles without making him look totally useless. I absolutely love the 2012 show and its version of Casey, but every time he gets involved in the action he gets totally wrecked in the first moments of a fight, barring a few notable exceptions. In this show, he's clearly not on the same level as the turtles, but he's still a decently competent fighter who gets his licks in.

If you ask me, Flynn's name being attached to something Sonic is every bit as bad a sign as Pontac & Graff having their names on it, albeit a very different kind of awful. That said, I was put off playing this game well before I knew that idiot was writing it. As someone who isn't at all a fan of open world games, it was going to be a ridiculously hard sell for me no matter what. But when I saw the following things from demo footage, it was a hard "no" from me: The environments look like an Unreal Engine demo (and I do not like that "Sonic in a realistic looking environment" thing); the main maps are just big empty nothings full of little disco dance floor puzzles and hamster wheels; the actual Sonic gameplay is just reskinned Forces/Generations stages with a migraine-inducing background; everything about Sage.

Mega Man 3 has the best OST on the NES, maybe the best of all. There's not a single note or beat that's a miss.

Every time I watch videos about MegaMan, I wish there was a way to play level/boss/power mashups. Mostly X since I'm more familiar with those games but with some tweaking it'd be cool to see it done with the originals

I do wonder if people like to have boss weapons that just effective enough to make fighting another boss easier or the one that completely take challenge out from the fight completely.

Personally of the 2006 sonic games, I like sonic 06 the best. Because it got a remake named Sonic P06.

I liked 6 just fine. I liked it more than 5. For some reason 5 does not have any memories of happiness or excitement for me. But I still clearly remember certain parts of 6. I liked the diversity of 6 for sure. I don't recall boring parts. For instance I feel like part 8 definitely has boring parts and it makes me not want to play it again but I feel like I would love to play 6 again. I also don't feel like playing 5 again simply because of the military theme as I remember it. I still haven't even played the 4 remake. I wish people would stop complaining about 6 actually. They nee to remake code veronica by far the most just because it had tech issues and certain story pacing issues.

I wanna say "Mega Man" is the franchize and "megaman" is the character in my very own twisted head cannon, J.

MM5 has some of the most creative and memorable stage gimmicks/setpieces in the franchise, but I feel that the comparatively lax difficulty makes things blend together and feel more forgettable in retrospect than the experience as a whole really is. If MM5 were comfortable with pushing each gimmick's potential by adding them into increasingly complex scenarios (like MM9 and 10) so that the player would have to consciously recognize how each could affect traversal and problem-solving, then I think a lot of people would remember the strong variety of technically-impressive gimmicks that MM5 has to offer. As is, the gimmicks just feel like a nice bit of variety that you only ever need to consider at a base level, which makes less of a lasting impact compared to obstacles that trust in the player's ability to evolve alongside their increasingly complex applications.

8:50 here's something neat to know about the M Tank, if you use the M Tank while all your health and weapon energy is full, any weak enemies on the screen will turn then all into 1-Ups, a good place to do this in is Gyro Man's stage where you see the chicken enemy dispense out baby chickens, its a good way to get some extra lives.

Megaman 4 had the only boss music that was as good as Megaman 2.

With the mecanics and the 2D levels, it lacks variety of gameplay with Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic.

Of the NES games, I only put MM3 and MM2 ahead of this one. My gripes are that it’s really easy, probably due to complaints of MM4 being pretty difficult, and it kind of kicked off a more cartoonish aesthetic for the series. I do love the soundtrack though, even if it contributed to that aesthetic.

I feel like the adventure series all needs a fresh reboot with similar game mechanics not heavily relying on boost mechanics and 2d sections. If they do that and really work with it, they can really send off these sonic games to another level. The adventure games always showed potential but they gave up on that style. Giving up on it is exactly what started segas downfall. My childhood aches for more games like the adventure series.

Even though I love them all, MM 4, 5, and 6 are better than MM 1, 2, and 3.

And fun fact, the game has a game-breaking bug, where, should you not manually save on Metalis, after freeing Luna, you're stuck on Kalidon. The cutscene with her after the boss fight will not play out, which essentially prevents you from advancing the story, rendering your entire safe file worthless. And I only know this, because I have experienced that bug first-hand, AS A KID. Even back then I knew, this game is a mess.

I am always against the idea of remakes and I hate to admit, this is the best game I’ve played this generation. It is extremely fun and there is an addictive sense of anxiety about it. This is undoubtedly a must play!!

After reading a whole bunch of comments, it seems to me that people primarily dislike Knuckles for the same reason I dislike the "Hawkeye" show. Going into it with the wrong expectations. In my case, I was expecting some kind of super spy show with Clint carrying out one last mission while preparing an apprentice to take his place. Not the sitcom we got with a retiree facing the mess left behind by his vigilante phase while a very determined superfan follows him around. That said, while I will be forever disappointed with Hawkeye, I recognize that it's really not a bad show when you don't go into it expecting something completely different. Which I believe is the same case here.
